Day 01: HA NOI - MAI CHAU VALLEY (L,D)

Pick you up at your hotel then transfer to Mai Chau Valley, 135 km from Ha Noi. It is home to Thai and H'mong minorities, surrounded by a green valley and stilt houses. En route, visit Van Phuc Village, a ancient handicraft silk village on the bank of Red River. Upon arrival, spend 2 hours trekking to hill-tribe villages around, see the daily life of Thai , taste the rice cooked in bamboo, and rice wine and enjoy the dancing performance of Thai in evening.
Home stay at stilt house in Mai Chau.

Day 02: MAI CHAU - MOC CHAU - SON LA - DIEN BIEN PHU (320 km) (B,L)

Drive to Son La, stopover at Moc Chau, the famous site by cow farms and the tea plantations...Arrive Son La town, visit the Son La prison of French colonist. Continue to Dien Bien province, en route, visit Muong Phang military base, where the talent general, Vo Nguyen Giap reside and command his troops to get historical winning of Dien Bien Phu. Photo stop at Pa Khoang lake.
Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.

Day 03: DIEN BIEN PHU - MUONG LAI - LAI CHAU (B,L)

Take the morning tour at the old battle field, where happened the historical Dien Bien Phu battle in Vietnam's struggle for independence in 1954. Visit A1 hill, C1 hill, Muong Thanh airbase, De Castries basement....Then drive to Lai Chau town, through the mountain region of Southwest, enjoy the spectacular landscape. It is also the good chance to encounter some tribes in Northern Vietnam such as H'Mong, Black Thai, Black Dzao, Dzay... They are so gracious, funny and sometime shy. We only distinguish them by their unique clothes.
Stay overnight in Lai Chau.

Day 04: LAI CHAU - SAPA (B,L)

Toward to Sapa, the small town hiding Hoang Lien Son range. Check in the hotel, visit SaPa market and Ham Rong mountain, where planted various kind of orchid.
Overnight in SaPa.

Day 05: SAPA - TA PHIN - BAC HA (B,L)

Breakfast in hotel. Drive to Ta Phin village, the living place of Red Dzao tribes. Walk around for their daily life and beautiful terraced fields nearby their market, which is famous by brocade products.. Transfer to Bac Ha town,
Overnight in train.

Day 06: BAC HA - HA NOI (310km) (B,L)

Last minute for shopping at local market before return to Ha Noi. It's long journey, but the beautiful scenery on both sides. Arrive Ha Noi in late afternoon. End of service.
